Hi, my name is Abi Leasure. Overall, my high school experience has been great. I have been challenged, both mentally and emotionally, but was able to find an inner strength to overcome those challenges and barriers. I have met so many amazing friends and teachers that have had a positive impact on me and have helped shaped me into who I am today. Since my freshman year, I have been involved in football, basketball, and competition cheer and I absolutely loved it. It was such a fun experience getting to be a representative of school spirit, cheer along side with my friends, and engage in all the opportunities that came with it. I have also been involved in Jaguar Ambassadors, Interact Club, National Honor Society, Class Cabinet, and I attended the first annual Bradley Leadership Retreat. When I'm not cheering or participating in clubs, I enjoy spending time with friends and family, napping, exploring new places, playing with my dog, exercising, watching Netflix, and volunteer work.
Since I was five years old, I have donated my birthday gifts to various charities, and it has stuck with me ever since. I have done donation work for 4H groups, local churches, the Mid Ohio Food Bank, the Battered Woman's Shelter, Operation Christmas Child, Colony Cats and Dogs, the Open Shelter, and the Family Homeless Shelter; but out of all those places, I found my passion was helping homeless individuals. For my capstone project, Helping Hands, I decided to collect donations, prepare them into care, hygiene, and food packages, and pass them out to homeless individuals in the Columbus area.
